Each year on the first Sunday of November, the American Gold Star Mothers of Indian River County holds its annual Walk-A-Thon for Military Suicide Awareness. This is the organization's primary fundraiser. Veterans, families and friends are encouraged to participate to raise awareness of this tragic circumstance and learn about programs, discounts, businesses and organizations are available for Veterans and their families.
